BTS: M&F x Othello Banaci

Last weekend, while all eyes were glued to the Super Bowl (and the amazing half-time show), we were in the midst of one of our favorite photo-shoots to date. We had the pleasure of working with Othello Banaci (@obshoots_) , an extremely talented photographer with an amazingly create eye. Joining the team was our model for the day, Maliha Bukhari (@MalihaBukhari), and together, we created a set of amazing images to show off some pieces from our newest collection! Speaking The Business of Blogging Panel!

Thanks to Sahra over at Que Sera Sahra we were able to visit the Flex Office Space on H Street in D.C. and speak on a panel about Mila & Fire and how we developed the business from our previous blogs. We had an absolutely amazing time speaking on the panel alongside some of our fashion spirit animals like Krystin of Be Loud Be You, and Meg Biram! Everyone added something a little bit different to the conversation and we were definitely inspired while seeking to inspire!

Best Dressed: Oscars 2014

The Academy Awards is always the most anticipate awards show of the year. While we wait to see who wins, the Red Carpet is really the main event. From Lupita Nyong’o in Prada to Kerry Washington in Jason Wu, here are the best dressed at the Oscars.

Lupita Nyong’o was glowing in a pale blue Prada goddess gown. She was the Cinderella of the Red Carpet and the awards show. She paired her gown with a sparkly gold and diamond headband that was design by Fred Leighton.

Jennifer Lawrence was stunning on the red carpet in her red/ orange strapless dress by Dior. She paired her dress with 100 carat diamond necklace from Neil Lane.

With her glowing baby bump, Kerry Washington wore a dark lavender hued grown designed by Jason Wu. The dress was strapless with a high- slit. She paired the dress with Jennifer Neyer jewels.

Kate Hudson channeled Old Hollywood glam in a sexy white gown by designer Atelier Versace she also paired her gown with Neil Lane jewels.

Winner of the Best Actress category Cate Blanchet wore a beaded light tan Armani gown with opal shape drop design earrings.
